The Counties Exhibit has been a long time feature at the California State Fair. Each county enters the competition by building a display to showcase how their county is unique and entice fairgoers to explore the area outside of the Fair. This year, the theme was “Picture Yourself In…” and counties were tasked to incorporate a selfie design into the display. Best of Show went to San Joaquin County. County exhibits are judged by score card in the following categories: video/written presentation, use of special effects or agricultural presentation, creative use of materials, design & craftsmanship, marketing presentation, and interactive use of theme.
