Sheehan v. City and County of San Francisco (13-1412)
The United States Supreme Court has agreed to review a Ninth Circuit opinion that concluded that concluded that the Americans with Disabilities Act requires police officers to accommodate disabilities when dealing with a mentally ill person who is threatening himself or others. CSAC filed a brief in support of the City and County of San Francisco, which was drafted by Danny Chou in the Santa Clara County Counsel’s Office.
