MONTEREY — The California State Association of Counties® (CSAC) representing the California county family are shocked and saddened by the tragic events in San Bernardino County that occurred today.
While detailed information is still being developed, it appears that San Bernardino County was specifically impacted by this horrific event. Several individuals who have been attending CSAC’s Annual Meeting in Monterey are returning to San Bernardino County to be with their families and coworkers and help in whatever way they can.
“We stand with our friends and colleagues in San Bernardino in prayer for those impacted by this horrible event,” said CSAC President Vito Chiesa. “We honor the first responders who have done what appears to be heroic work in dealing with this event and we offer San Bernardino County whatever assistance we can provide today and in the days and weeks to come.”
The California State Association of Counties is the voice of California’s 58 counties at the state and federal level.
