SACRAMENTO –The California State Association of Counties (CSAC) has elected San Diego County Supervisor Dave Roberts to serve as Second Vice President for the next year. He was officially installed November 20 at CSAC’s Annual Meeting in Anaheim, Orange County.
“I am honored and humbled by the confidence my fellow County Supervisors have shown in me,” said Roberts. “This is a great opportunity to collaborate more closely with leaders from California’s 57 other counties on the issues that really matter to people in San Diego and around the state.”
“I am looking forward to working with Supervisor Roberts as a new member of our Officer Corps,” said CSAC Executive Director Matt Cate. “He is a thoughtful and dedicated leader for San Diego and we are grateful he’s going to be applying those same attributes to statewide issues.”
Stanislaus County Supervisor Vito Chiesa will serve as CSAC President for the year and Supervisor Amador County Richard Forster will serve as First Vice President. Contra Costa County Supervisor John Gioia, CSAC’s 2014 President, moves to Immediate Past President.
The California State Association of Counties is the voice of California’s 58 counties at the state and federal level.
