The Board of State and Community Corrections (BSCC) has recently
posted new funding opportunities, in a variety of subject areas,
on their website. A
brief description of the funding opportunities are located below.
The Board of State and Community Corrections (BSCC) has scheduled
Proposition 47 Request for Proposals (RFP) Bidders’ Conferences
in Sacramento and Los Angeles.
The purpose of these conferences is to provide clarity on the RFP
instructions and respond to technical questions. BSCC staff
cannot provide assistance or advice on the preparation of a
proposal at these conferences.
California Chief Justice Tani G. Cantil-Sakauye recently
announced a new work group to review progress on reforms to
California’s system of pretrial detention and identify next steps
to continue work on the issue, including developing
recommendations for funding allocations of the pilot projects and
examining risk assessment tools.
The Council on Criminal Justice and Behavioral Health (CCJBH)
recently released a research report on Medi-Cal Utilization Among
Formerly State Incarcerated Individuals and their 17th
Annual Legislative Report.
With Governor Brown signing over 1,000 bills into law this year,
there is a lot to implement, especially for the State and local
governments. CSAC is publishing a series of articles to spotlight
new laws that impact counties from each policy area. This week,
the report from the Administration of Justice policy area
provides information on new laws affecting public safety. Stay

The California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES), Victim Services and Public Safety Branch is soliciting proposals for the Innovative Response to Marginalized Victims (KI) Program for 2018-19. The purpose of the KI Program is to support innovative projects that serve marginalized victims of crime.
