CSAC Institute Launches Partnership with San Diego County
Model Program Brings Continuing Ed to Members Down South
The CSAC Institute for Excellence in County Government recently kicked off a new partnership with San Diego County that brings a series of courses down to the county. The series was launched last week with a stand-room-only course titled “The Art and Practice of Organizational Leadership.”
“Bringing these classes to San Diego, allows many more employees to take advantage of the extraordinary classes offered by the CSAC Institute which enhances their understanding of local and State operations as well as their personal leadership skills,” said Chief Administrative Officer Helen Robbins-Meyer.
Overall, the Institute will be teaching 10 courses in San Diego County; a total of 20 county staff will be working toward their Institute credential.
“We are delighted to have San Diego County host the first series of CSAC Institute courses outside of Sacramento,” stated Bill Chiat, Institute Dean. “It provides a unique opportunity for managers and elected officials from San Diego County and all other counties to participate in courses and earn their Credentials without traveling to Sacramento. We hope to offer Institute courses elsewhere in the state in the future. Thank you to San Diego County for partnering with us for these classes!”
